The architects of The Guardian’s new building approached us to help plan and design the basement level. They had designed a layout using standard bike stands and could only fit in enough racks to secure 118 bikes.
We requested the plans and designed a layout using our Spacepods. After a few revisions we finally settled on a design that utilises 189 Spacepods giving 189 secure bike parking spaces. Nearly 60% more than the original plan! There is also space left for a further 20 Spacepod’s, if their bike user numbers increase.
The Guardian have noticed an increase in cyclists since our products were installed.
